Bathroom vanity unit with double sinks

Hello,
I am looking for inspiration as getting fatigue with online google searches.
We are currently renovating and I am looking for bathroom fittings.
We have space for a double sink and am looking for some contemporary ones with decent storage and space between both sinks.
Have looked at bathstore, drench and victoria plumb and so far haven't liked anything.
Would be grateful for recommendations if any of you have recently gone through this exercise.

Thanks very much

I know your pain.

We spent ages looking at all we could find was the same stuff repackaged slightly differently. Different colour, different top. But they're no much choice.

Eventually, we decided that we'd settle for a single bowl and then so many more options were available.

If I had really wanted a double I was resigned to having one made.

I need a single bowl one so recommendations welcome.

Why do you want two sinks?
More stuff to wash and your hardly going to be doing your teeth while he's having a shave.

Rainsdropskeepfalling · 27/10/2022 16:30

We have a double bathroom sink from IKEA in one of their units. Works for us

Svalberg · 27/10/2022 16:47

We have a Villeroy & Boch Subway, not too big & looks good.

friskybivalves · 27/10/2022 17:49

Maisons du monde have quite a few.

JackyinaTracky · 27/10/2022 22:15

Not sure if this style is modern enough for you but i just ordered one from Furnewal. Not too keen on the handles on this example but they have loads to choose from (as well as different sinks, taps and worktops) and can make to various widths. Haven’t received it yet but so far they have been lovely to deal with.

Might not be modern enough for what you're looking for, but we used this firm to make a sink/vanity and it's lovely:

@Sleeptillnoon, hope it’s ok to ask, but would you recommend HG? I’m thinking of having one made as our space is on odd size, and wondered what the quality, finish, insides etc are like?

ParbadosBeach · 27/10/2022 23:06

What is the reason for double sinks?
Do people actually stand side by side and brush their teeth together etc?
I just don't get it. I want the bathroom all to myself and dp would irritate the hell out of me if he was stood at the sink next to me.

Sleeptillnoon · 27/10/2022 23:07

I would glue yes, it's nice quality and I liked how customisable it was. Lots of choices of sink, handles etc and they will match any colour.

Not cheap though!

Chewyspree · 27/10/2022 23:14

I bought a very cheap unit that was the closest thing I could find to what I wanted. It was £600 in Victoria plum.

it’s now £700 ish. The. I sprayed it black, switched out the traps and hardware, took off a door, which I moved to the other end & then I put a only piece of marble I had on top. I absolutely love it. It’s not everyone’s taste but I would not compromise on 2 sinks.

I had a beautiful single made by Osprey furniture (on Etsy), they do doubles too

Sgtmajormummy · 27/10/2022 23:35

There’s more room for each person’s clutter if you have a handbasin each!
They’re also good in the morning rush to school when you’re supervising small kids brushing teeth etc.
I bought a porcelain one-piece double basin and vanity unit from Ideal Standard. Easy to keep clean as there’s no silicone, it just sits on top of the cabinet. 12 years ago but I’ll search for it and link.

Something like this and then you choose a matching cabinet. We used Gröhe taps which are excellent quality but cost about €150 each even then!

kateandme · 28/10/2022 00:31

All the ones I’ve seen have been from people local to them.so smaller companies.
have you tried a local search?

minipie · 28/10/2022 00:35

As well as Osprey and Harvey George you could look at Parker Howley.

Duravit does a nice double vanity as does Lusso Stone. Neither is cheap though.

Chewyspree you’ve done a fabulous job there.

Lentil63 · 28/10/2022 00:35

You need to go to a decent bathroom studio where you should receive lots of guidance. Victoria Plumbing et Al don’t cut the mustard in this respect.

Aquamarine1029 · 28/10/2022 00:52

I have a double sink in my en suite and it's honestly pointless. We never use the sink on the left. I would much rather have the countertop space.

By the way I have a Vanity Hall unit, IMEX basins and Crosswater wall taps. All very middle priced and modern.

Yellownotblue · 28/10/2022 07:37

Like you OP I got tired of googling and finding nothing. In the end I designed my own vanities, using Ikea Metod base cabinets and bespoke doors from Noremax and Superfront. This (photo) was my inspiration. They are getting installed in a few weeks - hope they live up to expectations!
