Is it normal to be this damp? - New wooden shed

Any DIY angels out there please? 🙏

Just went to check our new wooden garden shed. Little concerned of seeing inside the shed..
This is our first time owning a brand new shed so I don't know what to expect.(we hired workers for installation btw)

Our shed looks like this www.wickes.co.uk/Mercia-3-x-5ft-Overlap-Windowless-Apex-Timber-Shed/p/263258
Roof is covered by roofing felt

I know it's been raining a lot here in London but... 🤔

  1. Is it normal to be this damp/wet? It's only 4 days old!!
  2. Can I do something to prevent further dampness by applying something on roofing felt and woods?

Image of : Ceiling, Corner, Top Corner
In the first pic it's small but there is a nail sticking out the ceiling half way along the water stain (not sure if it's normal?)

The wickes page says it needs preservative and waterproof top coat applying

Our wooden shed never leaks like that, regardless of how much rain we get... Ours it attached to the side of the house, so has a felt roof, but with zinc where the roof joins the wall of the house, and we have felt tiles, rather than a flat bit of felt. The whole thing was treated before we bought it - maybe that's where you've gone wrong - yours looks like untreated wood? The only problem we get in wet weather is that the door swells a bit and often gets stuck.

Thanks for your reply. I remember "dip treated" is mentioned on the website although shed looks quite bare(?) even for my super amateur eyes.
I could smell mainly woods , not preserver/chemical at all.

but yes @Digimoor good point, I definitely need preservative and waterproof top coat.

When I asked the workers if I need to treat the woods
he was like "well..it's semi treated so you don' really have to but can if you want"

@amyboo so I think I am right that shed should not be this damp 😩
(like I replied to digimoor, the wood is supposed to be "dip treated" but it looks quite bare to me, can't really see the sign of coating/treated)

Interesting your shed door swells in wet weather - I wonder rubbing candle wax might help?
