Built in bathroom dehumidifier?

Do these exist? We have an extractor fan at the moment which is allegedly very quiet but that buzzes very loudly and doesn’t do a great job of removing steam or moisture! About to redo the bathroom so looking at alternatives. Does anyone have a dehumidifier built in instead of an extractor fan? Is it noisy and does it work?

These are incredibly expensive, but worth considering if you have a damp problem in your house. I’m looking at them at the moment www.vapourflow.com/product/wad-b-warm-air-dehumidifier-bathroom-fan/

Upgrade the bathroom fan to one with a humidistat which senses humidity and turns on. Not ridiculously expensive. Have a watch of this video explaining the different types of fans and which one would be best for your situation. There are smart fans which Charlie installs in his house (video) that allows you to set it not to come on in the middle of the night if anyone uses the bathroom etc.

Fans get less good at extract over time so a new fan may be a good option. A humidistat one would be my recommendation but you could also look at continuous running ones - quieter and more energy efficient as they don't have to run as fast
They are available from lots of companies just linked to this one as it has an explanation attached
