Could we re-jiggle upstairs to make a fourth bedroom

All three of our bedrooms upstairs are a good size really. Ideally I'd like to keep my room (bedroom 3) as I love it but know what may not be possible. Do you think there would be a way to split a room/create a fourth bedroom?

Thanks for looking 😊

Have you got loft space?

Going by the plans bedroom 2 b easiest but 2 very small rooms u could do bedroom 1 aswell by creating a second access door from Landing but again 2 very small rooms can u not convert the loft for a fourth bedroom would b a better option hope this helps x

Personal opinion - anything less than 3x3m for a bedroom is too small for a teen/adult as you’ll need a single bed, wardrobe and a desk.
If it’s going to be a nursery or an office it can be smaller, but might be difficult to sell later on.

@Noneyerbuisness11234 not sure bedroom two would work to put a wall up as it has 3 windows ? 🤔

I don't think the loft has enough height 🤔

If you lost the ensuite you could grab some space from the adjacent rooms and create a bedroom. Do you have a downstairs toilet? Could you expand it to create a small shower room downstairs? We have a bathroom upstairs and shower room downstairs (already configured like this when we bought) and it's surprisingly useful.

Move the door in bedroom 3 and move the ensuite into that room. Create a corridor into bedroom 2 and divide it in two.

Loft height isn't an issue, they can do clever stuff and just build up.
In some cases they need to drop ceilings below, but even that isn't as hard as it sounds to a non builder.
Get a builder round to have a look at the loft - they'll tell you the options.
From the look of this floor plan you'd have to move a lot of walls to create another tiny bedroom and probably lose the en-suite

Loft extension looks a better option and you could add stairs in bed 3 with minimal impact.

( I also cannot get over an estate agents details stating ‘ON suite’ not ‘ensuite’ !)

If you wanted to really reconfigure you'd end up with 2 singles and keep the en-suite?

If you nudge it up and reposition in the corner with no windows, make a small corridor and then split that room.

You'd get 4 bedrooms, 2 doubles 2 singles, but I think at the moment you have 3 doubles.

I guess the advantage of this way would mean you could always know that back in to one room in the future.

Disadvantage is moving that en-suite, depending on where you house plumbing and water pipes run that could be simple or major?

Or scrap the en-suite and simple!

You've got a lot of space wasted on the landing OP. Is there any way you could turn the staircase round?

here is a different option where you sacrifice the family bathroom and have to convert the ensuite into a family bathroom for all 4 rooms. probably not what you want, but it does gives you the extra room without having to move too many walls around.
