Water and light fitting

Had a small leak of water on raised ground floor at lunchtime (I had to drain water out of washing machine and accidentally spilled it onto the gappy wooden floorboards).

it immediately came through the spotlight fitting in kitchen ceiling (lower ground floor). Lights were off at the time. It was about 2/3 minutes in total.

I’m not planning to turn the lights on BUT I had read online that it’s best to turn the circuit off for 24 hours while it dries. However, on doing that I have discovered that the switch on the fuse board that says “ground floor lights” ALSO controls the sockets in the kitchen and the fridge freezer.

I don’t really want to to turn that all off, especially the fridge freezer and lose all the food, unless it is really really the thing that needs doing.

Does anyone with knowledge/experience of these things know if it’s alright to just leave the lights off but not turn off the circuit?

(and also, in a less urgent sense, should I be worried that the lights and sockets and fridge freezer are all on same circuit?)

Thanks so much in advance.

Following because I’ve had a more extreme version of this in the last two weeks that I’m trying to put in an insurance claim for and the insurance company are fighting it tooth and nail
