Niche shower query?

In the middle of a loft conversion that is running about 6 weeks behind schedule and all the decisions needed are causing me a bit of brain overload.

Can anyone recommend a good dual outlet shower that works with a relatively lower pressure system (old combi boiler that we are hoping sees one more year before we replace when we redo the kitchen in 23/24), but crucially, which has a rainwater head that can be height adjusted when fitted? My parents have a brilliant Mira shower that works with their low pressure system, but as far as i can tell, all Mira overhead showers are fixed at 1m + in height, and we probably need one that is 800-900mm for the loft head height. I've found a few that can be adjusted at 800-1100mm but no idea whether the brands are any decent?

Any brands i should look out for in particular?

As a generalisation, British brands tend to work best with British low pressure. It should say on the tech spec online what pressure is required - you’re looking for ones which say 0.5 bar rather than 2 or 3 bar. Bristan, Crosswater, Justtaps, Arteform are some good quality British brands. I’m sure there are others.

Rainwater heads are not great for low pressure as the already low pressure is then spread over a larger head iyswim so they tend to dribble. Does it have to be a rainwater head?

Also if the shower is going to be quite low down, you may be better with a shower that sprays at an angle rather than straight down, so the person doesn’t have to stand directly under the head.

Are you able to chase the pipework into the wall - if so then you don’t need to look for an adjustable head that goes down to 800/900, you can have a fixed head coming straight out of the wall, at say 850.

Yes I agree with a PP, a rainwater shower head with low pressure will be basically a dribble and rainwater shower heads with low ceilings are really tricky as by necessity they need to be well above the person in the shower. I’d consider an angled one on a bar where the height can be adjusted. I’ve had good experiences with Mira too.

Thanks both of you. Food for thought.

It definitely doesnt have to be a rainwater shower, but we've had to make loads of compromises on what we wanted already due to cost of materials going up etc and this is just one thing that i thought we'd be able to keep. So its a shame if not.

I was thinking about a dual outlet one so that there was an angled shower head as well.
