Nervous, anxious

I'm just nervous. We have been in two broken chains already.

Now we are buying something, it is good, good condition, location etc. Not as good as the other two houses but a better location in terms of close to schools (but the others where up top on a pretty hill). So I feel like each time we loose out the next house we find isn't as good as what we had. And the price goes up.

So I'm just feeling nervous, and wishing for the past houses (both didn't sell, one decided not too, one is "slowly browsing" after pulling out of their purchase and we don't think they will actually sell).

I look over at the other side of town and long for what we were going to buy. What we are buying is good but less family space and 1 more bedroom (prefer other way round). Am I just having cold feet? Is it normal? It's a lovely family house and well presented. The garden is decent but overlooked by other windows.

I wanted my next 20 years home but I think we are buying the next 5 years or so. I hate the house buying process and don't fancy doing it again in 5 years.

My feelings are just cold feet and normal right? Would love to hear some reassurance or good stories (unless you think I'm doing the wrong thing).

We're buying ( hopefully) our "second choice" house. I look at the positives ( bigger, south facing garden) and trust that if it all comes off and we get in there I will make it mine and love it. Everything is a compromise.

did you actually like it when you viewed it? we're in a purchase chain thats been going since March. I was having some doubts too, but looking at the photos from our second viewing really made me remember how we felt when we looked around.

When i viewed it I did like it as a second choice. Its decent. Its a good home, just not what i was dreaming of. The market is crazy competitive and the interest rates, the next one will push our borrowing down. With this one, if all goes to plan we can complete with our mortgage rate from spring.
