Anyone got a freestanding kitchen?

I'm playing with ideas for the new kitchen we will need in our new house. One obvious issue is a shortage of fitters and rising costs, so I'm pondering a freestanding kitchen to reduce those issues.

Has anyone got one? Any suggested suppliers? How have you found it? Did you still need any fitting?

We're buying a Georgian house so it feels like freestanding would suit the house, which is also a factor in considering it.

I've looked on there a few times but don't often see the sort of thing I want in my price range. I either get excited at a gorgeous kitchen and then see '£85,000 was £119,000' sort of stuff, or plough through lots of uninspiring offerings. I do keep an eye on it though.

Have a look at Devonshire Pine. They do not actually say they do free standing kitchens but they make several base cupboards and glass fronted wall units that you could adapt to kitchen units. I have a lovely dresser made up this way. They wil also make bespoke units to order.
