Buying Car Parking spaces

I plan to approach the brewery who run/own the pub next to our house and propose to buy two car parking bays to attach to our end terrace house. We currently have no means of parking near our house. I have attached a photo with our house in red, the proposed car parking spaces in yellow and the newly painted parking spots in the car park in blue. They’ve changed the configuration recently as it was too tight to park with old configuration. I include this as I believe if we were able to fence off the 2 proposed car parking bays it would not hinder the cars parking in the pub car park.

3 questions really. Has anyone ever purchased land or a car parking space like I propose and how much did you pay? (or have an idea how much it might cost?) And also what strategy have you or would you employ to successfully purchase the land off the brewery?

Hmm, it is very hard to value parking spaces. you can look on rightmove and see what a garage or space would cost in your area. Or you could ask an estate agent to give you a formal valuation.

And if they sell you the space, they also have to make a covenant giving you permission to drive over their land to get into the space which then restricts what they can do with their land in future. I imagine they might be pretty reluctant to sell (unless they are broke).

If you offered to rent the space from the pub, that might be a better deal for them.

@parietal Thanks for you your reply. I’ve done some extensive searching but the price range is quite wide and mostly relate (as you suggest) to garages. Perhaps I did make it clear in my image or post, but we would plan to put a fence around the spot and merge it into our Lane that resides on the other side of the pubs current fence that our house is on/next to. We would not plan to drive into the car park (the yellow line would be the new fence line)

The estate agent is the next port of call once I have exhausted my online resources

You can ask but there’s not a great deal in it for them
they’d possibly be reluctant as it could hinder any future development on car park
