Affordable boiling water tap?

We're replacing a broken kitchen tap and it must be black, moveable (to swivel between the main and half sink) and have a spray nozzle. We're considering getting a boiling water tap while we're at it (with the above features). A Quooker with those features will be close to £2k. I was thinking of something more like £500! I've seen some at £300-500 but they're not any known brands and I can't find any reviews, so I'm hoping someone could recommend one. Otherwise we'll shelve the idea for now and just get a non-boiling one for £100.

Watching with interest

The Quooker heats to boiling temp as does a Hotspot titanium, be careful going cheaper as they might not actually be boiling. We have a Hotspot, it’s a Dutch brand and been around for years over there, had it 3 years and more than happy, can’t imagine going back to a kettle. Not sure how it compares price wise to Quooker but think they may be a bit cheaper.

We have an Etal and I love it. Was given it by a friend who'd used it for a year and we've had it about 6 months now. Really good, definitely boiling water and no problems so far.

Thanks. I read that it doesn't matter if it's 98 degrees rather than 100 as it's less than 98 by the time you pour it out a kettle anyway.

Etal was one of the cheaper options I saw so I'm glad it's good! I'll take a look at Hotspot.

We got one from Victoria Plum, think it's Franke? Anyway, it was £500, had it for about 10 months now and I can't fault it. We were going to get a quooker but things were a bit tight (big building project) so we got this thinking if needs be we could upgrade at some point but I don't think we actually need to now I've been using it.

Re temp, I've always found it's fine for tea and coffee but if I want to make my drink hotter I sometimes just heat the cup with hot water for 5/10 seconds then tip that water out and make my cuppa. I've haven't noticed any difference when I've been at friends with quooker taps.

Mine matches all of your requirements apart from the spray nozzle, they may have one in that brand that does but my opinion is the cheaper taps have been worth it over the quooker.

No spray nozzle but wouldn’t be without our Fohen now!

We have a black fohen tap. Love it.
