Hi all,
FTB here, this is chain free, we have mrtgage in place, searches all back with no enquiries, we received yesterday all contract documents, deeds, transfer form, contract, building insurance etc, we have emailed them copies to pre-approve so we know what we are posting has been filled correctly, once they receive the copies via post what are the next steps? to set completion date and exchange? I wondered if there was something in-between that happens, new to us so advice would be great x

Check with your solicitor that they have everything - then it sounds like you could be close to exchange and completion. However dont underestimate a solicitors ability to suddenly need to check something else………..

In theory you exchange. In reality a butterfly might flap its wings in Tennessee setting in motion a series of events that mean nothing will now happen for at least a month. In my experience.

It's ok - you will hopefully exchange in the next week or so and I will stay in my own circle of doom and paralysis 😂😂 crossing my fingers for you

Anything. Anything can happen. I have only ever had one house move that went smoothly ( on my end anyway. ) but u never know.
Solicitors will suddenly pop up with something they could have been doing weeks ago but they just think about it now.

Honestly. When people ask the question on here about the length of time it takes. I always answer with how long is a piece of string.

Mostly Likely it will be fine and u will exchange soon if everything is done. So I have my fingers crossed for u that it does happen.
