Would this house work for a family of 4?

Really like the 60s design and upstairs of this house.

Do you think the living space in particular would work for a family of four, including two pre-teens?

I would want two living areas. Mine are 14/11 and often they don't want to be shut away in their room but be downstairs but we don't always want to watch the same stuff.

I love a good mid century home. The room sizes tend to be quite good.

I think it could work but perhaps with some modifications. I'd probably convert the garage into a living room with perhaps a utility room next to where the toilet is.

You've got the storage area for bikes etc

Entirely open plan downstairs. What would annoy me most about that is having to listen to the washing machine / tumble drier / dishwasher running, while wanting to relax in the lounge.

There's lots more I don't like open plan, but that's the main one.

Also what would matter to me is lack if garden space. You can't fit a decent sized trampoline alongside a BBQ and seating area in that space. Limited space to kick a football around. But then maybe that garden is good sized for the location. You'd get so, so much more in the Midlands.

No. Because of the open plan ground floor.

All that open space and large windows and brick walls, I bet it’s bloody freezing in winter.
