Tenancy - nails in walls

I'm just about to move out of a rental property and have those tiny pin nails on some walls which I hung my frames from. Was just wondering how to repair then before I leave. They seem too tiny to fill. Ask the landlord for the paint colour & paint over?

Fill with poly filler and then paint over.

Painting over just one part of a wall can sometimes make it worse because the paint on the walls has often faded over time? Putting new paint on walls (without painting the whole wall) can be problematic due to this. Does your contract specify no nails in the walls? I would be tempted to leave them in otherwise? But yes, you could check with your landlord?

This is why renting in this country is so fucked up. They want you to leave the property as if you have never actually lived there....

Landlord was the one who provided me with the nails to use. All I'll manage is painting the patch, but I'll be guessing the colour. It's an off white with a pinky grey tinge.
New landlord said I could put curtain rods on (which would be an improvement on the ancient roman blings with a fly & bug pattern in them(!), but then said I'd have remove and paint the whole room when I leave!

You can hide panel pin holes very effectively with a tiny dab of toothpaste and if the paint is pale they will be invisible. Grin

Ooh good tip. These holes are so tiny, they would be so difficult to fill.

If the landlord provided the nails, I’d just leave them up. It’s not like they were done in secret and you have to hide them :)
