Are firepit tables worth it?

I'm looking to buy some rattan furniture, and I'm torn between a dining table with or without a propane firepit. Do they even help with cold in the winter? Is the novelty worth the extra ££?

For reference, this is what I'm looking at:

Not much room left on the table for big serving dishes and stuff. And obviously you can't pass things across the table. A relative has one and at numerous parties I've never seen it actually on, so it must be too much hassle. But it's in the way all the time, on or off.

I agree they are a bit inconvenient. I think a normal table is more versatile.

Thanks both, I agree, same thoughts crossed my mind This firepit table is somewhat flexible because you can use it without the fire pit (glass is removable, and it comes with a flat surface you can put where the fire pit would have been), but then, when would you be using it anyway? Only situation I can think of is when having some drinks and nibbles, but even so it's not super optimal, and it's hard to justify the price point difference.

We've got a fire pit and don't like these table ideas. When the wind blows you need to be able to move around away from it - easy with chairs around a fire pit. Also the rattan stuff could easily get embers on it. We normally eat then move over to the fire pit area.

Alright, it's decided then, if I do get a firepit it will be a separate feature. Thanks everyone!

We brought a fire pit last weekend, a stand alone one.
