En-suite - toilet and basin only

Does anyone think this would be worth the cost and hassle of installing? A full en-suite would compromise the size of our master bedroom, but a toilet and basin would be ok and still leave space for enough storage.
i know a lot of people don’t like the concept of people using the loo in the bedroom, but we do have relatives stay from time to time and a further upstairs loo would be quite useful. Also we could use the basin for cleaning teeth. We currently have an upstairs bathroom and downstairs wc.
we could also potentially turn the downstairs wc into a shower room in future.
has anyone else got a toilet en-suite only?

I’d do it. My en-suite is mainly used as a loo, and it’s more private than the bathroom/downstairs loo

Could you fit a small (e.g.) 80 or 90 cm sq shower into one end and put a slimline combined toilet/sink or toilet and tiny hand sink in? I reckon 2m x 1m is all you need if you use a pocket door or mount it outwards.
FWIW I had a shower/sink room before as an ensuite and it was great for dressing and wandering around naked to get changed. I preferred it to just a toilet. But maybe you can have all.

To clarify you won’t have a shower enclosure, just a shower door on the outside of a tiled area.

Could you not do a wet room? So no specific shower but it's there if you needed it. I don't think I'd really bother for just another loo, unless it could be accessed off the main hallway and used by everyone
