Just moved in to a new flat. It's a listed building, 18th century. The sash windows are single glazed. They're not in the best of state of repair. Slightly rotten/ paint falling off/ pull system not attached.
One of the windows has several panes of glasses with cracks in them. You can feel a breeze coming through.
Would the landlord be obligated to fix this? With winter coming up, and single glazing, we want to minimise heat losses. We are scared to open the window in this heat, incase it smashes. It will be disruptive, as there is no access to the window from the street level, even with a cherry picker.
