Hello,

our searches have been completed & been sent to us by email along with lots of other paperwork contracts we have read & agreed to etc- there doesn't look to be any queries on what has been sent to us, we have a mortgage in place survey done and this is all chain free, our estate agent said he will chase our solicitors tomorrow to make sure they have sent the search results to sellers solicitors, we got our offer accepted 14th July, so things have moved quite quick so far I think?! we are FTB so all new to us. just wondering what next steps are? we want to be in before end of September, I dont see there being a big hold up if both solicitors work quick, I just wondered what anyone elses experience was after searches done

thank you

If you got a complete pack and have signed contracts and there are no outstanding queries, then your and seller's solicitors agree exchange and completion dates (which you have suggested) and you get your deposit sent to your solicitor.
You should be talking to your solicitor about this, not through the estate agent - who is not 'yours' by the way, unless he/she's a buyers agent. Most estate agents work for the seller.

The search results aren’t sent to the seller’s solicitor unless there’s a query. Ignore any attempt by the EA to give legal advice- it’s not their job.

Your solicitor is not just working for you, but also your mortgage provider, so you may not have queries, but your mortgage provider may still have things they want resolved.
Your vendors if they are buying you need their purchase to have resolved all it's queries to be ready to proceed.
Absolutely agree with PP you need to talk to your solicitor the estate agent has no legal training and is only interested in pushing the sale over the line.
