Media walls with the TV over the fire ?

If anyone got one because I’m desperate to know surely the fire heats up your TV and breaks it, at least reduce is the life expectancy if your TV. has anybody got any words of wisdom on this subject I do think they maybe potentially might be a bit overdone in houses now but it does actually really work for me 🤦‍♀️

Well my tv was already over my wood burner when we moved in (left by previous owners) and both the tv and the burner are still there and still fine. I’ve been here almost 14 years

My tv is over my electric fire but I don't turn the heat on just the light

It makes the TV too high. The ideal height for the TV is the middle of the TV is the middle of your eye line when at down.

It is possible to insulate the chimney breast so that the fire doesn't damage the TV

...but the TV would still be too high

Thank you everyone I’ll post a picture of the space, when ive cleared all the rubbish out from in front of it, see what you think if it’s gonna work.
