Recommend me a kitchen company that I can afford!

I love British Standard: britishstandardcupboards.co.uk/ but they are outside my price range. I know the quality probably won't hold up with cheaper options, but any recommendations for more affordable companies in a similar style?

Perfect storm, thanks for all the information on your kitchen. Are you going to paint the kitchen yourself or get a professional in? I would be interested to hear what the approximate costs would be to have it painted (I appreciate that it's dependant on kitchen sizes!). I haven't been to the show room as yet, but the kitchens look stunning, even better at sale prices 😛

Also do they have a planning service or is the expectation that you would provide a kitchen plan from elsewhere?

TIA

@Flowerpower92 they do the design with you, complete with 3D CAD drawings, as part of the planning process - you have to pay a non-refundable £350 deposit, but you have to do that to lock in the sale prices anyway.

I will be getting a professional in to paint. I think if I try there's a serious risk I just have to get someone in anyway, after wasting paint and time and with the added need for them to sort my mess out! But I know some previous mums netters hired a paint spray machine and did a great job, so it probably depends on your DIY expertise.

@SollaSollew thank you - as we don't yet have the kitchen, it's always reassuring to hear people who have taken the plunge say how happy they are. I am 99% confident we've made a good choice, but it's still so much money! By the time appliances, painting, flooring, taps etc are all in it's going to be... a lot. Even being as careful as we can. But I do think we'll love it when it's done, and it's a style of kitchen we just never expected to be able to consider, on costs grounds.

@perfectstorm thank for the additional info! I did call them to enquire about prices, unfortunately I've missed the sale 😥. However I'm hoping there will be a sale towards the end of the year, as I won't be needing the kitchen well into the new year! The sale only lasts about 2 weeks, so you need to be quick! I need to visit the show room and see the kitchens in person. I did send them a plan, based on an kitchen plan done elsewhere, I was quoted 24k, so will definitely need to wait for the sale 😂. Also I'm sure using bigger units, should reduce the quote. We are useless at DIY, so will definitely need a professional to do it! Have you had any quotes for painting your kitchen, if so please could you tell how much it would come to? Like you I am trying to factor in all the costs and compare it to other quotes! TIA 😃
