Ideas for covering fence panel gaps

We have a long-running issue with our NDN's dogs yapping at us when we use our garden.

They keep saying they'll put up more fencing (they did put up a tiny bit, so we can use our patio but not the rest of the garden). Now we're fed up of waiting and are just going to sort it ourselves.

Fast growing plants aren't really an option, as we already have various things planted all along the fence and it would break DH's heart to replace them.

Ideally looking for something quick, cheap and cheerful but not hideously ugly.

Bonus points if you can suggest something that looks great on our side but fucking hideous where it shows through the gaps in their side Grin Fluorescent pink, maybe?

*Fluorescent pink on their side, I mean, not ours.

Home bargains sell trellising with fake ivy on. It's only about £10 for a very big piece, and they look ok.

Thanks Amei, that's a possibility although it looks like there are still gaps 😬 these things have vision like the Terminator.

Answering my one question here... I wonder if it might be possible to but a job lot of bamboo canes and sort of slot them between the panels?

*OWN question, and BUY a job lot...

What type of fence are you trying to block?
If it's the modern vertical slats with a couple of mm gap, you can get square (rectangular?) Mini panels to fill in the gaps better than round bamboo canes, but similar idea.

It's about 2m high, with gaps of varying sizes, probably around an inch or so. I tried to post a picture but apparently the file size was too large.

Honestly please don't insert plastic into a garden.... bamboo canes are a good idea. Other options are stakes, trellis stood upright (bonus for plants to grow up)...

Yes, I think canes or stakes are the way to go. We already have a wire trellis covering parts of the fence, but it's for a clematis which is currently pretty small and pathetic looking.

Bamboo looks lovely and is easy to attach. There’s no gaps.
