I have turned my 2-bed Victorian into a 4-bed with the addition of a loft room and layout change. The bathroom is now quite small and will only fit a shower bath (a bit of a regret) and the bedroom next door is also quite small at 1.9 x 2.3m. I had a recent valuation and asked the estate agent if I needed an extra shower somewhere to retain value. He said basically do whatever works for you as value won't be affected very much (nice house in very desirable area). Which led me to thinking that what I would really like is an upstairs laundry room and somewhere to dry the clothes out of sight! A walk in shower could also be squeezed in thereby killing 2 birds with one stone. The plumbing is accessible via the bathroom next door. Has anyone done similar? Any opinions? I am still a bit concerned about resale but don't plan to move for a good while.
