Dishwasher installation - what trade?

My current kitchen doesn’t have a dishwasher. There’s a cupboard I’d remove to create enough space for a slimline machine, which is between an integrated oven unit and a sink unit, so clearly there are electrics and water/waste in the vicinity but there’s no plug in the back of the cupboard space and I assume the pipes need redirecting.

Given it’s electrics and plumbing, what kind of tradesperson do I want? It looks like the sales companies that offer installation will only do it if it’s a replacement, not if there wasn’t one there before.

I’d get an electrician to add electricity in the right place then get the plumber to do the pipe work and fit the dishwasher in place

This

And to save money plus hassle go around your house and see if there are any other little jobs the electrician can do e.g. changing single sockets to doubles, and anything else you want the plumber to fix.

Contact your local Euronics centre.

Or a local kitchen fitter. You know, those people that fit kitchens. They do this every working day.

The kitchen fitters I’ve come across fit whole kitchens. They are busy and don’t do ad hoc small jobs like this. The Euronics centres I’ve dealt with (3 in different areas) are good at jobs like this; they don’t make a palaver about involving a plumber and electrician and a cupboards person if necessary. You just talk to one person and it’s organised and reasonably priced.

@AlisonDonut Obviously I don’t mind if OP uses a kitchen fitter, she asked for ideas from different people and I gave here an idea based on what’s worked for me. Not sure why someone would jump on it in that manner.
