Surviving a kitchen refit

We have finally confirmed kitchen plans! Kitchen will be gutted and refitted in 8 weeks. They have said it’ll be 4 weeks from start to finish with the first week being be worst then the second will still be quite chaotic then it’ll be useable.

we have 3dc so they are going to stay with relatives the first week but then we’ll have to manage. Any tips how to survive (other than constant takeaways… can’t afford those at the cost of the kitchen).

I had mine completed gutted just before covid it was hard but we got by .. 6 of us 2 adults 2 teenagers 2 kids
My dh went away for one week he was due a weeks holiday and took it to get away!!! as you do thanks dh but he still had another three weeks to put up with it .. he couldn't handle it!
I didn't mind it tbh yes it was annoying at times but sort of an adventure with the younger kids
We moved the dining table and chairs into our sitting room, we have a utility room and had a toaster, kettle, microwave and one of dh beer fridges out there so we had lots of salads jackets, with cheese, ham etc microwave rice, noodles.. I actually don't think we ever had a take away
We bought paper plates, plastic cutlery and paper cups which were very handy
It's a long haul but it will but worth it treat it like an adventure
