Can anyone recommend some please? It's for a ground floor window and possibly the door too. Thank you.

Following as due to be needing some!

have you googled amazon? They have also got the patterned / obscure see through film. My hairdresser has it up and that is fab. Apparently very easy to apply and can be taken down.

There's loads on Amazon but I'd like personal recommendations if possible.

I have used the patterned one from amazon. Very easy to apply. Can't see through it at all though both sides. it does look good but does obscure and views. I am going to try the one where it is mirrored during the day once I move.

Yes I think I want a mirrored one. I live in a square and neighbours seem to be fascinated by our living room. It’s not annoying. Just weird.

has anyone any experience of reflective window film?

With reflective window film, you need to remember that at night, when you have the lights on, the effect is reversed and people can see straight in (but you can't see out). So always close the curtains before turning on the lights.

If your house is right on the street, and people turn to look in your windows as they walk by, consider putting a large mirror on the wall opposite the window. It should spook the nosy ones just enough that they don't become repeat offenders.

I wouldn’t buy mirrored for reason above. Obscured is good so no one can look in.

just look at Amazon reviews

This isn’t reflective but looks lovely

I've used Purlfrost for window film (not mirrored, just opaque) and they are very good. Quality film, reasonable price, quick delivery, cut to order if you want that.

I think they also do mirrored, so worth a look?

We had some window film once, I can't remember where from but it was meant to be a thermal reflective one, which we wanted for a large window which reflected the afternoon sun and made the room unbearably hot. Unfortunately the heat on the window made the plastic give off such a strong smell that we felt quite unwell and had to remove and bin it immediately.

We bought Rabbitgoo privacy film from Amazon - it was one of the cheepest and at the time we bought it thinking it would be crap but would stop people looking it until we could afford something better, and it's brilliant! Can't recomend it enough - easy to put up, looks really good and as long as you don't have a toddler ripping it down like we do it last ages!

My only tip would be made sure you have a really sharp craft/stanley knife for cutting it to size as anything blunter can easily snag it.

I'm not sure if they do a mirrored one though
