What's it really like to live in North Norfolk?

We're quite keen on relocating from London, and I'd like to get an idea of what to expect in terms of:

Stuff to do with young children

Managing temporarily without a car (with bikes, public transport etc...)

Good schools

family days out/ nice family pubs etc..

thanks

Doesn't matter how old the thread is; it's still visible with all its narrow, prejudiced comments about Norfolk and as such invites a response. House prices here have since risen sky high so Norfolk is certainly attractive to successful people who have money and see it as a desirable place to live. Most of the criticisms I've read seem to come from people who don't have the depth of character to appreciate the county anyway so it would be pointless them moving here. Particularly since the 'chavvy and rough' elements they refer to were probably imported by incomers and are not characteristics of genuine Norfolk people. The comments about Cromer are downright insulting and ignorant when one considers its rich maritime and lifeboat history.

Rural Norfolk and Suffolk have changed out of all recognition since this thread began.

The prettiest etc villages are now FULL of rich people from London and the SE. The poor locals - unless they have made canny property deals - are completly priced out of the places where their ancestors have lived for generations. Just like Cornwall and nearby.

If that's what people want, OK. But....
