Is it on the way out !

Rented accommodation so might want to warn LL.
Think it has to be 10/12 years old ?

Did not realize how loud it was ,till I was at my mum's house ...and only realized her wash had finished,,,with a tiny little beep !

I did not even know the machine was on !!

Maybe your washing machine has become unbalanced?

What I mean, specifically, is that the levelling bits have become out of kilter.

Easy enough to get sorted, all you need is a spirit level and some muscle power!

Does it look like the washing machine has moved out a bit at all?

I don't think anyone can answer this. Have you checked the filter? How long has it been noisy? Maybe something is working it's way through.

Not necessarily. It could just be that the drum has come loose. We’ve had it happen a few times and the rubber or something has been fixed by an engineer. We do have cover so nothing in addition to my monthly payment, which is like £5.

I suggest repair as machines aren’t made like they used to be!

My machine went recently, 9 years. Fitter of the new one was impressed, said mostly you get circa 5 years nowadays.

That happened to mine. I think it's the bearings. The repair guy said it was never worth getting it repaired. I used the same description of how it sounded as you did!

Thank you.
Noisy for ages ...and it does move !
Washes the stuff well .

Tonight's stuff was loud and long as I put it on a 60 that I don't normally do.
But it had ds's chef stuff in there that needed a going over !

" I think it's the bearings. The repair guy said it was never worth getting it repaired."

I think maybe the bearings are in a sealed unit in a lot of them now and can't be replaced. So it's cheaper to scrap the whole thing. Which flogs more washing machines but is shit for the environment. Unless a law has been passed forcing white goods manufacturers to make their products repairable?

loud grinding noise is the bearings...we changed ours...bosch quite easily and are very diy and handy etc....
