Key stuck in mortice lock (inside)

Keys live in the door in the day, door locked and I take them out at night.
Last night I couldn't get rhe key out, it will turn so I can lock and unlock the door but seems at a slight angle and just won't shift to remove it at all.
Had another go this morning and it is totally stuck.
Don't understand what has happened.
Also have a Yale on the same door, or can go out via the back door so not an immediate issue but obviously needs sorting.
Anyone had this / any ideas?

Have you tried WD40? I know it’s a bit of a cliche, but it can often help when anything’s stuck!

Doh, I haven't! And WD40 is my go to!
I was just totally flummoxed, and tired, last night and this morning it is still just as stuck.
I've looked at it with the light coming through and can't see why it won't shift. It is kind of in the keyhole at a slight angle but still looks like the key bit is lining up properly with the slot but just won't come out.
And it turns to lock and unlock the motice without problem.
I'll go and hunt down the WD40...

Wd40 and a good jiggle of the key
We've had this a few times
I find leaving it for a few hours then trying again without overthinking it works as you'll try at the slightly odd angle you accidently put it in ...if that makes sense

Had this where the key was left in the lock, got knocked and could not be removed.
Some careful jiggling eventually did it but did use a different key from then on.

Thanks for the posts.
Key now removed, with careful use of a hammer - tried a few knocks but was getting nowhere, then basically wrenched it out with the back of the hammer.
It looked like it had been knocked, but I don't see how anything possibly could have knocked against it given location.
There was no way it would have jiggled out.
Will get a torch on it and have a good look, but it looks sort of mangled inside - so now concerned about using the lock, don't want to lock myself out or have the key stuck in from the outside.
