Paint for damp room

I'm going to work on a spare room to turn it into a guest room. There is some damp. I think it's from poor ventilation from not opening windows enough. There was a man in the room.

I used a mold cleaner/killer. The HG stuff. The bad corners look so much more better now.

I want to paint the room now.

What's the best paint. I did a search online and breathable paint looks to be reasonably promising but it's so expensive. I would need a primer too. Its just so expensive. I am wondering if its worth it?

Or should I settle on a budget paint?

There was a "man" in the room? I don't get what you mean!

Expensive stuff like Durbochem might do the job

emulsion paint.

if you have a damp problem, paint will not cure it.

It was a mans room before and some men are useless. A window was hardly every opened while they smoked and vaped in the room.

I hear you on the damp problem in that the source has to be found and fixed.

The dampness was on an external wall and I think it was from condensation and not opening windows for ventilation.

You can buy paint in b&q that goes over the mould and damp areas sometimes takes 2 coats then when it's dry paint with emulsion
