New worktop fitted with dents/imperfections

Hi all,

I have just had a new worktop fitted but after they left I noticed some marks. I have attatched pictures. They said they are going to fill them but my mum said that this will mean that the areas are weakened. They are coming tomorrow to fill it so I would really appreciate advice on if I shoulr request a full replacement or agree to it being filled.

The one picture is an end strip so this will be easy to replace but its the other two that are the problem.

Thanks

I would not accept that. Is this a major retailer and can you refuse installation?

No. Please hold firm and tell them it's totally unacceptable and a fill is not sufficient.
I'd email today.

I wouldn't accept anything that had imperfections if i had paid for new.
It would just annoy me and i would then replace it a month down the line, so get them back to get it right. IMO.

I wouldn’t be happy especially where that chunk is taken out. I would ask for a replacement.

The third one is pretty shoddy, what could they fill it with, I would insist on a replacement for or all the damages ones.

Thanks all. That was my feeling but I wanted to check I wasnt being unreasonable. I said to DH that if I had done it myself it would be acceptable but not when we have paid 1.5k for a professional job. Will get onto them! Thanks everyone
