Kitchen Suppliers - your views by price and quality!

There was an interesting thread on bathroom suppliers recently where people listed their view of bathroom providers by price and/or quality.

I wondered what people think of providers of kitchens? I've been looking around and for your average shaker kitchen (say), I struggle to see a lot of difference in the middle if you ignore the very top (e.g. Martin Moore) and the lower end (e.g. B&Q).

Getting a price list or material composition is like pulling teeth of course..

So which companies do you think occupy the top/middle/value end of the market by price and quality?

Value level would be B&Q
Mid range Howdens Ikea and DIY Kitchens do well
Top End seems to be Devol
we went DIY Kitchens and very happy with what we got for £3000

Thanks @Isseywith3witchycats! Were you nervous designing and ordering yourself or did you get someone to help?

How much did it cost you to get it fitted? Dd needs a new kitchen and had someone come and quote her £17k (inc fitting) but it's a tiny kitchen!

B&q is the poorest quality but not necessarily the cheapest.
Gower rapide next.
Then symphony
After that hand built

Which brand was that for @hellcatspangle?

I'm finding the transparency on cost and quality really tricky to work through.. The cost seems to be as much as they think they'll get away with.

Our kitchen when we moved in was from the 1980s it was a mess so when we pulled the units out half the walls came with them so we had to pay to have the whole kitchen plastered some electrics as well, my fitter charged us £1000 but admit hes my ex son in law whos a cabinet maker , we got a qoute from wickes for the same arrangement and they came out at £5000 just for the units worktops and sink unit so the £2000 we saved went on the other stuff , once you get used to DIYs planner its quite straight forward and DIY go through it to make sure you havent missed any thing, this is my kitchen at Planning stage destruction stage and finished

No idea, they're an independent kitchen company.
