Is it possible to dismantle my conservatory and rebuild a smaller version as a garden den?

Conservatory is coming down as part of an extension. It's all plastic so no foundations were dug for it and has that corrugated plastic roofing.

Do you think the panels and roof could be reused?

The panels only comprise two walls with double doors (because the other two walls are the house walls). Pic attached to show construction.

Will I have a problem trying to create/fix the corners because at the moment there is only one corner where two conservatory panels meet (because two panels meet house walls, and the other is two house walls meeting)?

I'm hoping I can have a back wall of wood then use the existing panels to create the other three walls?

The sections are metal frames with upvc over the top and double glazed units inside. They will be heavier than you think.
If they are taken down carefully you will be able to reuse them but you will need to secure them on a concrete slab attached to something really stable, not just wooden shed panels. Do you have a brick built garage or similar?

I'd get advice from a conservatory fitter before committing yourself.

On second thoughts, sell it second hand to someone who wants a conservatory for a corner and buy a den or summerhouse. It will be lots less hassle!

I sent a follow-up DM as misunderstood the first post, sorry!

Ha Ha, so not as simple as I thought!

I was thinking it would be flimsy enough to go on levelled paving slabs (like I've done with a shed).

Selling and using the proceeds sounds like a better option then. There are a million other jobs to do so trying to balance the work we can do with the time it takes vs a tradesman, to see what is worth the input, is tricky.Grin
