Where to move between Reading and London

Family member relocating for job needs to move somewhere along the Elizabeth line corridor between Reading and London. No children so schools not important. No car so needs to have station and amenities within walking distance. Any ideas or recommendations?

Depends how much money they have for rent or to buy. Twyford is nice.

Twyford is nice with a Waitrose and some shops, accessible train station with frequent trains to London and Reading. Or you can go on the line up to Henley if you don't mind 1 extra change: Wargrave, Shiplake, Henley all lovely, but expensive! Can't vouch for Maidenhead but I think there's worse places to live!

There are loads of new flats in Maidenhead and it's a big enough station for regular fast train services. I don't much like the town, but I think a fair bit of regeneration is happening.
Taplow and Burnham might be slightly nicer if you prefer to be a bit rural but will have fewer and slower trains and maybe less chance of a seat?
Reading has new flats around the centre/station and the usual bigger-town facilities and shops with the added bonus [or not!] of the university.

Are they wanting a house? A flat? City centre buzz, or a quieter life?

Oh and as a Reading resident I will be taking a fast train to Paddington (25 minutes) and pick up Crossrail from there as and when I need to. It seems it's going to stop at every blade of grass between Reading and London - it's a snail rail.

Some of Twfyord is in high flood risk zone so check out a map online.

Twyford is really nice. Maidenhead is mainly a dump

Thanks everyone. Budget is 350-385k. Currently in flat and wanting a small house with outside space. No car so no parking but must be close to station. One bedroom necessary and second desirable.

West Drayton has some nice bits, more on the edge of london than those mentioned above. Depends what they're looking for

www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/121445927 This is half a mile walk of Earley Station - 3 bed semi. Slightly longer walk to Woodley centre.
