Worth externally insulating the sides of a detached house??

I live in a detached chalet bugalow and want to make the house feel warmer.
The whole house is rendered with no cavity walls. The front has bay windows that dont allow for the walls to be externally insulated, so I'm looking at having the sides only done. (The front needs re rendering so will get this done at the same time).

I'm wondering if it's worth spending the money on only getting half the house insulated externally? And will I notice the difference.
If anyone speaks from experience I would really appreciate it.

It's quite common to only have the backs and sides externally insulated around here as it's a conservation area and you can't change the look of the front of the house.

Often people then do internal insulation at the front - replace the normal plasterboard with insulating plaster board. You lose a few inches as the wall is thicker.

So yes, it does cut energy usage but obviously it won't be as effective as having it all done.
It is also really important to look at draughts and air leaks - if the walls are insulated but you have draughty windows and doors, it will still feel cold

Could you not insulate internally? There are challenges with insulating externally including enough overhang with the roof and having to move drainpipes etc. You might want to consider a combination of the two. Do the loft first in any case if you haven't already.
