Can anyone explain to me about taps and bar pressure

I've noticed that different taps require a minimum of eg 0.1/0.3/0.5 bar pressure.

Done a bit of googling at it seems to relate to the height between the taps and the water entry.

If the taps are going on the 1st floor, say 3m which (google says) is 0.3 bar, does that mean you can't use 0.5 bar taps as they would be expecting a different water pressure? But you would be OK to use 0.1 bar taps?

Thanks!

Ignore...it appears to be about the boiler.....

So actually it's about the pressure of the water. In traditional plumbing systems you have a tank in the loft, which gives low pressure. For every metre below the water in the tank you get 0.1 bar, so typically in the bathroom you might have 0.3 bar if the tank is on stilts, and 0.1 bar at the shower head otherwise.
So you need taps that open far enough to let enough water out at low pressure.
For modern systems it would be off the incoming supply which is pumped and therefore usually at least 2 bar, sometimes 4+. So the tap doesn't need to open far when you turn it to let the water out at a decent rate.
The boiler pressure is separate and varies according to the temperature of the radiators.

Thanks johnd2.

We've got a combi boiler so hopefully should be fine with most taps. I'm definitely stressing over nothing.....
