White Gloss Kitchen. What wall colour?

Currently trying to "tart up" my sister's kitchen in her new home. Inherited perfectly functioning units & appliances but the cabinets are white gloss with modern black matte D handles. Not something she or I would choose but too wasteful to bin & no desire to respray or change doors etc.

The worktop is white marble, the walls are Currently purple but not much on show apart from 1 wall due to wall cabinets. The oven & induction hob are, floor a warm oak LVT. Kitchen is very bright but small 3.5 by 3.5 M.

Any advice or opinions on what colour we can paint the walls to make the space look a little less clinical & tone down the white. Would it be mad to go slightly off white on ceiling & walls, maybe a "whisper" feature wall of darkest green or warm tone black?

I'm open to suggestions & have complete decision fatigue Smile

Consider changing the handles, consider tiling.., both can really change the vibe

For paint I would go for green tbh it works well with wood tones card room green is nice. Dark but not crazy dark

One trick I learned was paint the whole room with one colour of paint but add white to take it a few shades lighter as you go.
Ie Main “feature” wall darkest /original
alcoves lighter
adjacent walls/wall containing any alcoves lightest

Inchrya Blue by Farrow and Ball is stunning and would make a great feature wall, here's an example for you . By the sounds of it, Railings by Farrow and Ball may look brill too- here's another example.

Because you're working with white cabinets, the opportunities are endless so good luck on making a decision xx

I like Farrow and Ball Dimpsie. A pale blue/ grey colour. Lovely with the oak floor. I know that’s not going to be as much of a feature as a dark wall but personally I’m not fond of all the darker colours that are around at the moment - unless in a period property with great dimensions.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We went sample shopping yesterday. So far railings seems to be the fav as so little wall visible shouldn't be overwhelming or at least might hold own against the white gloss!
