I agree with many suggestions. We’ve just replaced our kitchen a few months ago. Things I love: quooker tap, sockets in a tall wall cupboard to hide the chargers, a butler style unit that hides coffee machine and toaster and stores tons of stuff. My built in bin (waste and recycling, good swing bin size). One side of my island I have a built in bookshelf for all my lovely cookery books that have been stuck in an unseen bookcase. And all the drawers. All my cutlery, utensils and day to day plates are in drawers in addition to pans. And one drawer contains all the crackers, biscuits, crisps etc.

We used a small independent designer, excellent quality. One thing I wish i had is a pull out tap to rinse the sink.

We have underfloor heating (fitted 20 years ago, off our central heating). It keep the kitchen at a lovely steady temperature despite a large room with french doors.

Thanks @tentative3 I know I could do this but it’s beyond my skill level (and I’m currently struggling with life admin)

Those with Quooker taps etc, how often do you have to have them serviced/repaired?
I ask because we had them at work, and, though they are indeed wonderful, the bloke was out fighting with the exciting collection of in the cupboard underneath at least once a month.

appliances - induction hob - absolutely brilliant and such a fuel saver. Just had a slide and hide Neff oven fitted - again brilliant. Would second the idea of pan drawers over cupboards. Would love a quooker!

We get ours serviced about once a year. A guy comes and cleans the limescale out and replaces the filter. We change the filter about twice a year (including when the guy comes to service it).

The taps in the office are usually a brand called Zip tap. My office has them and I agree they always break. But those are designed to only be used for boiling and drinking water. They're not an actual tap like a Quooker tap with a flexi hose. The ones in an office are also used much more than at home - together my husband and I drink about 8-9 cups of coffee between us each day, and constantly drink filtered water from it. So we probably use it 15-20 times a day or more because of the children. Had is for 5 years and never had an issue with it

Somewhere other than the oven door to hang tea towels. Somewhere for the food waste bin.

Forgot to mention sockets - think of a number and double it. You can never have too many. We have 20 and it's still not enough!

Yes! This! We have loads. As well as ones with integrated USB ports so your chargers don't take up value able plug point real estate.

We have the quooker with the pullout hose to rinse the sink. Not broken yet but we get hardly any limescale here. I love it.

That's for all the advice I've got loads of questions to ask tomorrow when I go for my appointment!
