What would you choose?

We’ve got ring curtains in DD’s room – attached with the clips that IKEA do, rather than traditional hooks, so she can yank them down without yanking the pole down (though she never has).

I don’t really like eyelet curtains aesthetically, and I suspect would let in more light around the top? But we have a blackout blind underneath anyway.

We’ve got eyelet, they’re a bit ugly but I find they’ve blocked out more light as the rail is raised (also recommend blackout blind under!)

I have curtain track and gliders. Only because that's what was there already and I just replaced it so no drilling needed.

DD has absolutely no interest in pulling the curtains she chose and "helped" to buy down.

Ahh hadn't considered a blind underneath too!

Do eyelet curtains really let in more light than ring curtains?

We go rid of curtain rail/track and glider that previous owners did a really shoddy job of putting up and DH wants a pole up to replace it!

Eyelet curtains do let more light in at the top as the pole has to be off the wall enough to allow the eyelet curtains to open and the folds of the material are off the wall. We have eyelet curtains in our bedroom.

We have curtain track in the children's bedrooms, they are teenagers now but were 3 and 6 when we moved here. We also have black out roller blinds behind them. If you want to block out all the light look into Bloc Blinds or something similar then you can have whatever curtains you want.
