How much should I worry about this as it has just come back in our solicitors searches (London).
However we have already had a full structural survey done and they’ve not found any evidence of subsidence etc. The house is over 100 years old Confused

If the house is built on London Clay then the underlying soils can be subject to shrink-swell, but that sounds like a catch all term in the environmental report. If your full structural survey hasn’t found any issues on a 100 yr house then I think it’s unlikely to be an issue. The hot dry summer of 1976 should have revealed any problems.

That phrase is mentioned in the vast majority of searches, in other words **se covering.

Come on, you are buying a period property. Of course there's going to be a risk.
