We've had our offer accepted on a property. It's 7 years old, has 3 years left on NHBC guarantee. Obviously the boiler, windows, doors, roof etc are only 7 years old and all look to be in good condition.
DH thinks it's a waste of money doing a survey on it as our current house was built in 1900s so we had a survey done and the usual red points came up as expected with the age of the house but nothing major that we needed to do so he thinks even less would come up on a new house?
I said sometimes new builds cut corners so could be issues so it's still worth doing?
What would you do?
