Can't lie down in my L-shaped bath - help!

I recently got a new l shaped bath and when I get into it my elbows assault my breasts - it is simply too narrow. The only possible way I could bathe in it is if I sat right up or lay against the tap end.

I am a normal size 12 so not even a larger lady or anything. I feel like there must be something I am missing. Is there a hack I don't know of a way you are supposed to lie down in an l shaped bath? I literally cannot find even one person online with this problem and am desperate to have a bath.

We had an L shaped bath with the taps to the side. Your top half was squished together and there was no leg room until the bottom so the tap burnt your leg if you got in while the water was still running.

L shaped baths are not for adults to have a bath in! They are the compromise option if you don't have room for separate bath & shower and want a spacious showering space for adults and will be bathing kids.

It's a bit more comfortable for an adult to have a bath in a P shape which has curves rather than angles but if you go for that then you don't put the taps at the big end because obviously that's the head end. A bath filler spout half way along the length is better.

What are the measurements? Is moving the taps an option?

Our bath is a long P and I have the opposite problem that I can’t lie securely, I’m quite short, so I slip and slide about. Or sit up in the semicircle bit of the P, but it’s not really deep enough for that to be satisfying.

I want a Japanese-style deep sitting tub instead.

I'm a size 16, fairly wide up top, and don't have any trouble in our very normal L-shaped bath. I just lie in it with my head at the straight end, feet at the angled end and the taps are off to the side so not an issue. Did you get a particularly narrow one?

Yes our new L shaped is snug to say the least! I'm a 10/12 and have to sort of rest my arms on the ledge. Ours does have a steeper back slope which is more comfortable to lay more upright.

We installed an L shaped bath at our old house and I hated it. You couldn't use it as a bath as the whole hot water tank only half filled it because the wide bit was too wide. I wish we'd just installed a shower cubicle instead.

I've just moved into a house with an L shaped bath and I have the exact same problem. I've searched online to see if there is some kind of inflatable pillow to block the taps to make leaning against the wider end possible but I had no luck. Did you find any kind of solution?

Sadly I haven't found any solution. Sometimes I sit in the bath and let the shower water wash over me, but that's it. Mostly I just wish I could have a time machine so that I could go back and reinstall a different bath. :)
