Quote for fencing and levelling - reasonable?

Hi, I don't exactly have my finger on the pulse for pricing outdoor work. My fence was damaged in the storm but was a bit rickety in any case. I have been quoted £2300 for 9 fence bays (with concrete base), concrete posts, a 6ft gate, and digger hire to level the back garden (currently a pile of builders rubble). Does this sound reasonable? I am in the SE..

Yep sounds reasonable.

With the hire of the digger and need to level the garden, plus the gate these are going to be weighty costs so the balance on decent fencing with concrete posts and labour doesn’t seem too bad.

But worth getting another quote to see.

Good to know thanks. Not sure I can be bothered to try and persuade another fencer to visit (bad I know).

The quote doesn't seem too crazy to me. It depends on the size of the garden and the amount of work involved in the levelling, of course.

Are they just going to spread the builder's rubble around? Presumably they're actually going to remove it. Does the quote include waste removal, e.g. skip hire?

Sound cheap actually.

Sounds pretty good, fencing is expensive at the moment

In the trade - thats a really good price!
