We are planning to insulate our suspended wooden floor next month. I have done loads of research, including reading previous threads on here. I have ordered some rolls of mineral wool (Knauf Earthwool Ecose stuff) and some netting, and got my staple gun at the ready. We have a hatch in the floor and a decent size crawl space so will be doing it from below.
My question is about the air bricks. We have air bricks front and back of the house so a good cross flow for ventilation. I have read not to block the airbricks to allow for continued ventilation. The only thing is that our air bricks are positioned quite high up - they come out between the joists themselves if that makes sense. So how do we not block them? When installing the insulation do we simply stop a few cm short of the airbricks to allow air to still get through? Any advice very welcome!
