dishwasher conundrum

Had a slimline dishwasher in my tiny kitchen for over 10 yrs. Never used salt or rinse aid or gave it any special treatment.
It finally conked out so I replaced it. Old model no longer available so new one.
Got a plumber to install it. Three weeks in and it developed a fault F1/F2. Engineer came out to repair it. Said it wasn’t plumbed in correctly. The waste pipe is too long apparently and I am putting stress on the parts because I don’t use salt and rinse aid. He’s gone now. Told me to get the plumber back. Wash cycle works but leaves water in the floor.
Surely this can’t be because the pipe is too long? How did the other dish washer manage?

Have a look in the troubleshooting section of the user manual.
What does it say those codes mean?

We have just replaced our dishwasher and I can remember reading in both the old and new manual that the waste pipe must not be more than a certain length so yes that does sound plausible.

If its too long, it could be that it cannot churn the waste water out so its sitting there in the pipe and backing up.

I have a slimline also. I'd definitely add washing aid and salt if you want a greater lifespan.

If engineer says it's not plumbed on correctly definitely get plumber back. I presume that you didn't use the plumber from the supplier/shop?

Thanks for your comments. The codes are leak related. The company I bought from were supposed to install but didn’t because the person I did the order with didn’t put it on the booking sheet. Long story short they wouldn’t come back out but agreed to pay for a local plumber.
