We are having a Ludlow Kitchen from Magnet fitted soon.
The designer has said that strip led lighting will show (‘stick out’j under the upper cabinets and flat square led lighting would be better.
We have never seen this in real life.
Do any of you have it?
Are you happy with the affect and practicality, I am assuming it would be a more of a ‘pooled’ lighting affect?
I would be so grateful if anyone could advise, and photos would be really useful if possible.

Photo showing worktop sample, which we assume would reflect the light.

This should link the type of light the designer thinks we should use.
Do any of you have anything similar?

We've got individual lights like that & one of them has what I think is shown in one of the pix: a sensor that you just wave your hand under to switch them all on & off. I like them. They give a triangluar area of light on the textured metallic glass splashbacks which I find attractive.

You can put a lip or whatever they call it, along the bottom of wall cupboards. Would that hide the strip lighting?

Presumably that could be possible.
I think perhaps it is just a case of getting used to a different look. I need to move with the times!

Whatever you get, I would make sure you can use a dimmer switch with the lights.

If you want strip lights for an unbroken wash of light, these from TLC are very good www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/Domestic_Index/Kitchen_Lighting/LED_Undercupboard_Fittings/index.html

they're ultra-slim so you can't see them and you can add a dimmer switch. you can link them to one single switch or switch indivdual sections on and off. (Although I imagine you would need a massive kitchen to want to do this) . I like the look of your worktop material, mmm.
