I had a new shower fitted with a concealed valve. Two tap heads are on show, one controls the volume of flow and the other controls the temperature. If we're in the shower & it feels too hot, we turn it cooler but it gets even hotter still, till we have to jump out or get burnt.
Plumber A says the hot & cold pipes in the wall have been connected to the valve the wrong way round.
Plumber B says this makes no difference as the valve is thermostatic so even if the pipes are connected back to front, it would regulate the temperature as it's supposed to.
I don't understand but we're left with a shower we can't use for fear of getting burnt. Can you advise please?
