Older parent / boiler issue/ possibly taken advantage of

My DM 74 had a boiler problem early this year , called her service repair company and was told that they could fix the problem but she would need a new boiler in a few years as hers was around 17 years old.
To cut a long story short, a man came to her home and she agreed on a new boiler and she understood it was going to be fitted in same location.
Boiler day arrives and the engineers said it could not be fitting same place and have moved it to a different room and made the side / front of her house look awful, with all the new pipe work.

My mum is hard of hearing and due to a serious road traffic accident has Brian damage but mostly very well.

The new boiler was discussed and whilst we through she didn’t need to replace as serviced and liked after, she wanted to go ahead and did.
However on day of fitting it didn’t go to plan. The boiler fits said that’s the space was too small and that there was a problem with the flue, that they’reare not the same as 20 years ago and due to her conservatory could fit it in same place due to proximity of next door .

My mum was advised on day by two fitters of the problem and she didn’t feel able as older people do to say she didn’t want to go ahead with stranger and total British politeness so allows them to continue and she ended up with this.
I don’t know enough about plumbing and boilers but feel cross for my mum.

What do you think / any advice. This is the side of her house but not a discreet side.

My mum has a new boiler, replaced a tank and old boiler with a combi,, she had to have external pipe work too even though the boiler is in the same place, the only alternative was digging up the path and laying trunking.

Ours is neater than that though and was done by a trusted excellent heating engineer that we’ve used for years and years.

It’s probably right even though it’s not very aesthetically pleasing. Why not ask @pigletjohn what he thinks.

The copper does fade in time.

Run it along the side of that other pipe (?gas) and paint it the same colour. Might have to lift paving to drain it into underground drain.

Which pipes did he add? All of them? Or just the copper pipes / just the white pipe?
