My daughter has sold her property in theory. She put in an offer on a place for a bit less than asking. It was agreed with the following provisos (attached) am I smelling a rat or is this how things are done nowadays?

No legal standing to any of the stipulations, but does indicate that the sellers are 'motivated' or serious. That is a good thing.

However, 6-8 weeks is virtually impossible!

I would just smile and nod and try to comply, but if the survey throws up issues then re evaluate.

It’s all meaningless. Smile and nod and get on with the process

Definitely agree with using a solicitor for better service. 6-8 weeks is very optimistic though! We got through at 11 weeks with a very simple chain and was still a lot of stress and nagging to get it done before a Covid lockdown.
