Loft conversion - raised roof

I'm looking to convert my attic. It's a 1920s detached with a pyramid shaped roof that has a very shallow pitch, so I'm pretty sure the roof needs to be rebuilt from scratch to raise the head height. Hoping to put in two double beds and a shower room. I know prices have increased a lot recently, so it would be great if anyone has done similar to get a ballpark figure. Thanks!

We did this a few years ago (pre-covid), gained 3 beds, box room & 2 bathrooms upstairs. Was 140k but that involved some extras downstairs - think without those it would have been maybe £110k.

Good grief. We put in two large single bedrooms. A box room and a shower room for £20k but it was over 25 years ago.

Had a double garage loft (square) roof removed, stone walls raised and gable ends moved to opposite walls - if you get my drift..
This has made a super large airy loft studio/office/guest room with window, 2 velux windows, shower room, with separate heating boiler in garage. Probs cost about £65K, completed just before Covid happened, and whilst it seemed very expensive it was a lifesaver with 3 of us suddenly working from home.

I had this done a couple of years before covid. 1 large double with small en-suite and 1 small double with en-suite. Had to have quite a lot of steels put in. £80,000.

Ours was £110k about 10 years ago. Five new rooms.

All really helpful, thank you. We won't need any internal changes and the stairs can sit over the existing stairs.

Pressed post too soon! We'd need one bedroom either side of the stairs and the bathroom slotted in somewhere. I don't need any fancy extras (as far as i'm aware!) so I'm very much hoping it will be around the £60-70k mark rather than £100k+. House prices around here are insane though so we're likely to see a return on investment even at that price if we can raise the cash. Do you all think it was worth the money?

£100,000 sounds about right. You will need to check the walls and foundations can take the extra load. Adding height is adding weight.,It’s quite a complex job. You might need planning permission too. This is adding space and may not be permitted development. You need to check.,
