Dining room conversion, Victorian terrace

We had grand plans to move into a bigger house but it's proving impossible so we are staying put in our smallish Victorian terrace.

Our floor plan is attached. We are thinking of extending into the side return and knocking the kitchen and dining room into one. Possibly adding a WC / utility / cloakroom in the back half/two thirds of the dining room, nearest the house (can't put the WC under the stairs as that contains access to a cellar). And blocking off the existing lounge so it's a separate room.

Has anyone done anything similar and if so would love your ideas and floorplans!

Yes we did this. I think our house is slightly shorter than yours. We now have one big kitchen/dining room and a separate lounge. The lounge is quite small but just big enough for 2x 2 seater sofas so it’s cosy. I much prefer having the two separate rooms.
We had to get UFH in the kitchen bc we ran out of room for a radiator.

I have just done something similar but my stairs were relocated from the middle of the house to the party wall side and the dining room has become basically a hallway containing a shower room. In your case personally I wouldn't extend the kitchen into the dining room as it is already a long room at 6.4m. Also if you keep your external wall the build cost will be less. I would split he dining room into a utlilty/WC or pantry depending on needs and use space at the end of the kitchen as another living area.
