Are more houses coming to market in your area?

Just been told by an EA that there’s a lack of new properties coming to market where I’m looking and those that are tend to be more towards starter homes than the 4 beds I’m looking for. Is that true for all areas or as I just unlucky?! Please tell me it’ll pick up in March!

Nothing worth buying on the market here. Hasn't been for months.

I put my 4 bed on today and there have been a few come on by us recently.

The market round us is still quiet in terms of things coming on. As soon as ANYTHING that isn’t a flat comes on it’s gone in 48 hrs

No. Not looking, but I keep getting calls from the estate agents I used 7 years ago asking why I'm not ready to move yet! They are desperate for stock.

There have been more properties coming on in the last couple of weeks after nearly nothing since last Autumn. Perhaps it's the start of the usual increase in marketing in the Spring.

We are looking at the moment. The EA I spoke to said that anything good isn’t hitting RightMove or being advertised because they’re being snapped up with people who they know are waiting.

I think you need to build up a bit of a relationship with the agents so that they come to you with anything new.

I'm in the Midlands and spend weekends checking estate agents and there's nothing I'm interested in which is roughly:

Detached
Garden
Parking
Pre-1970's
At least 2 or 3 double bedrooms plus 1 box
Between £300,000 - £400,000
OK condition

There appears to be a glut of flats, terraces and small starter homes plus £500,000 and above houses but nothing in between.

The main reason seems to be that theyre all being turned into HMOs for rental at £2,000 per month. I was shocked.
